Law enforcement guide

How authorities can request data and how we respond.

1. Requests

  • Send requests to [email protected] from an official address. We need a valid legal process under Swiss law; foreign authorities generally use mutual legal assistance (MLAT).

2. Emergencies

  • If there is an imminent risk of death or serious harm, write 'EMERGENCY' in the subject; we can disclose limited data without legal process where the law allows.

3. Preservation

  • We preserve specified data for 90 days on request while legal process is obtained.

4. Child safety

  • We report suspected child sexual abuse material to NCMEC and the relevant authorities and preserve the evidence.
